{"id":78,"date":"2019-09-26T06:51:46","date_gmt":"2019-09-26T06:51:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/alma.educell.sk\/en\/?page_id=78"},"modified":"2019-09-26T06:51:47","modified_gmt":"2019-09-26T06:51:47","slug":"guidelines-for-presenters","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/alma.educell.sk\/en\/index.php\/guidelines-for-presenters\/","title":{"rendered":"Guidelines for presenters"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Presentations<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We have set out the following tips and advice for your successful presentations:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Length of oral presentation (including 5 &#8211; 10 min for discussion)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Introductory lectures (Margriet van Eikema Homes, Marcin Kozarzewski): <strong>60 min<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Other invited lectures (Cristina Serendan, Polonca Ropret, Andrea Urland, Irina Petroviciu):&nbsp;<strong>40 min<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Regular contributions:&nbsp;<strong>30 min<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Exceptions &#8211; Tomasz \u0141ojewski:&nbsp;<strong>30+10 min workshop<\/strong>, Christoph Herm:&nbsp;<strong>20 min<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Technical Specifications<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Microsoft PowerPoint 2016 is highly recommended. The computer employed runs under the Windows 10 operating system and with PowerPoint 2016.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Speakers who intend to use their own laptops are requested to consult this with the organizers (<a href=\"javascript:void(location.href='mailto:'+String.fromCharCode(97,108,109,97,50,48,49,57,64,97,108,109,97,45,108,97,98,46,99,122))\">alma2019@alma-lab.cz<\/a>). This is especially necessary for Apple MAC computers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The recommended aspect ratio is 16 : 9, however the 4 : 3 ratio is also possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Audio files, if used, should be integrated in a PowerPoint such as mp3 or waw.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Video files, if used, should be integrated in a PowerPoint presentation such as mp4, mov, wmv. Do not use Flash movies! Do not use hyperlinks to start the movies, do not use movies from the internet like Youtube.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bring your presentations in preference on USB-Memorystick. USB Hard-Disk Drive is also possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Posters<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Maximum poster dimensions (vertical presentation DIN A0).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Width 841 mm<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Height 1189 mm<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We suggest designing your poster in the following sections:<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Title, author(s), address&#8230; (on the upper edge, across the width of the whole poster)<\/li><li>Introduction and Purpose<\/li><li>Methods<\/li><li>Results<\/li><li>Conclusions<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The title should be emphasized by the use of bold typeface. This writing should be easily readable at a distance of 2 &#8211; 3 meters.
