Technical Specifications

Microsoft PowerPoint 2016 is highly recommended. The computer employed runs under the Windows 10 operating system and with PowerPoint 2016.

Speakers who intend to use their own laptops are requested to consult this with the organizers (alma2019@alma-lab.cz). This is especially necessary for Apple MAC computers.

The recommended aspect ratio is 16 : 9, however the 4 : 3 ratio is also possible.

Audio files, if used, should be integrated in a PowerPoint such as mp3 or waw.

Video files, if used, should be integrated in a PowerPoint presentation such as mp4, mov, wmv. Do not use Flash movies! Do not use hyperlinks to start the movies, do not use movies from the internet like Youtube.

Bring your presentations in preference on USB-Memorystick. USB Hard-Disk Drive is also possible.

Posters

Maximum poster dimensions (vertical presentation DIN A0).

Width 841 mm

Height 1189 mm

We suggest designing your poster in the following sections:

  • Title, author(s), address… (on the upper edge, across the width of the whole poster)
  • Introduction and Purpose
  • Methods
  • Results
  • Conclusions

The title should be emphasized by the use of bold typeface. This writing should be easily readable at a distance of 2 – 3 meters. The text can be broken up by the inclusion of drawings and/or photos.

To promote your work you may like to bring handouts for distribution to interested delegates.

Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the organizers (alma2019@alma-lab.cz)
